Biography

Jenifer is a classical ballet dancer who trained on the BA(Hons) Ballet Performance degree led by The School of Ballet Theatre UK and the University of West London. The course exposed Jenifer to a vast variety of dance styles. During her training she not only developed her classical ballet technique and artistry but also became a strong contemporary performer.

Jenifer is a dedicated and pro-active dancer who works efficiently with other dancers to form a strong corps de ballet. She ensures to always arrive prepared and enters the studio knowing the class and any rehearsal notes from previous days. An avid jumper Jenifer’s favourite part of class is the allegro, a chance to showcase and perfect her natural elevation.

Growing up Jenifer’s father was in the RAF resulting in a lot of moving around. This however was to her benefit as she then became introduced to a number of different syllabuses, including UKA, RAD, NATD and ISTD. Most recently Jenifer completed her ABT level 6 exam with The School of Ballet Theatre UK allowing her to become accustomed to the American ballet style.

In her spare time Jenifer enjoys exploring different baking recipes with her friends and taking them into the studios the next day to share with others. She also has a full clean driving licence.

Performance Experience

During her time on the course, Jenifer had an array of performance opportunities. She was fortunate to perform in full length ballets such as Coppelia in the roles of Tavern Girl, Harlequin Doll and Arrival of Dawn corps. A favourite being Swan Lake where she undertook the responsibilities of White Swan corps, Hungarian corps and Royal Court corps. Most recently she was a member of the cast of a full length ballet of The Wizard of Oz stepping into the roles of Red Poppies Waltz corps, Munchkin and Powder Puff Girl.

As well as full length ballets, Jenifer performed yearly in the Ballet Theatre UK Showcases. This allowed her to explore further pieces of repertoire including excerpts from the Awakening of Flora, Sleeping Beauty, Napoli and Balanchine’s Serenade. As well as classical repertoire Jenifer also performed in Contemporary and Jazz pieces; most recently Euphoria, a contemporary piece created by Hannah Connor.

Throughout these performance opportunities Jenifer was grateful to be given the trust of understudying numerous roles, many of which she then went on to perform as a last minute replacement such as white swan corps.

Jenifer joined Ballet Theatre UK on their UK tour of A Christmas Carol from October to December 2025 in the roles of Festive Girl, Christmas Present corps and Dark Angel. Working alongside the company and taking daily company classes has given her a detailed insight into the behind the scenes of a professional company and provided her with the opportunity to further mature her technique and artistry.
